The first band(can't remember there name) sounded just like don cab.thats a good thing.The plot to blowup the eiffel tower was ok,I really didn't like how the singer was licking the mike stand and his onstage antics were a little,too much for me.the music was great cept for the sound at the meow meow is TERRIBLE.The ex-models can fuck off and die,that shit was terrible.SixSeisRoku will own all in that style.it was sooooo repetive and lame and so boring.

The locust played for 15 mins,the pit was great,I got to push p[eople,it was quite empowering.They sounded good.but they really need to truly be appreciated on a good soundsystem with a good sound guy who knows what he's doin.Props to the dreaded girl in the pit.no props to the girl er um guy who looked like he was having a seizure(you know who you are)

Thursday, March 17, 2005 "Ong Bak:Muay Thai Warrior" Ong Bak....such a crazy movie....Its in thai which is such a cool language to listen to.This Action movie was very good.Very little use of guns which I like..... Cinematography:The shots were really throughout the whole feature...Sometimes showing the fighting from 3 different angles. Direction:This movie has no stuntmen,no ropes, and no CGI.People are jumping over cars and jumping off high things and all sorts of crazy shit...The fighting is VERY realistic.... Acting:I can never tell good acting in foriegn films cause its in a different language....Its your standard action movie schlock... Dialouge:So much is lost in translation in foriegn films that I can't judge the dialouge cause they could be saying the most beautifull compliment but for all you know see in the subtitles is"you look pretty". Sound:The soundtrack was you basic techno and faux metal,the sound effects were all right and didn't sound fake. Plot:Its an action movie....who cares..... In summation...this movie fucking ruled....4/5 stars

Monday, February 21, 2005 "donnie dorko directors cut""i heart the hukabees"double movie review!!!! I kinda think of these 2 movies being the exact same movie.Both contain conversations about philosophical things,but "I heart" did way better.both had some cool effects.Jason S was awesome and I can't belive I'm saying this but so was mark wahlberg for that matter.I will I heart but not darko. I heart hukbees 5/5 stars donnie darko 3/5 stars

Wednesday, February 16, 2005 "appleseed(2005)" "dagger of kamui" double movie review "appleseed" Beautifull,saw this one on the big screen.was totally awesome.plot was substandard.but.....the mix of cell shading and CGI was done really well.the water looked so real.water is the hardest computer animation to do(so I hear) so I give major props to that. 4/5 stars cause the plot was sub-par "dagger of kamui" This movie is from 1985, one of the first anime movies I have seen.Its a good movie to watch to show how much the genre has changed.the plot is a little hard to follow but the action is good.you will see how tv shows like dragon ball z are completely unoriginal in the animation dept. 5/5 stars cause its 20 yrs old

"Raging bull" movie review Scorcese's(sp?)best that I have seen so far.Deniro's best?Maybe....The tension during that lovers spats actually made me feel uncomfortable.I can see the influence of how boxing movies are filmed.I also liked that it was in black and white. 4/5 stars cause it seemed like it was missing something.I dunno what.

"ronin" movie review Yet another case of a bad movie with robert deniro,the dialouge ....terrible.the action scenes have way too many cuts.the score was sub-standard.Nothing more should be said....

Thursday, October 07, 2004 "spinal tap" movie review I expected soooo fucking much from this movie.I found it to be terrible.It had some good moments,and it never seems like a fake documenterystill,I was very dissapointed.But I must tell you best song lyrics from the movie."the bigger the waistband the deeper the quicksand....."

"buffalo soldiers" movie review A very good makes this a great movie,I tend to like movies about drugs.and this one is a good one.its also about the army,and dating the bosses daughter and stuff.very good movie,not much I can say.....

Saturday, October 02, 2004 Double movie review"royal tenambaums and good fellas" Great fuckin movies,both of em.I think scorcese or however you spell it won this match.wes anderson is good though,I had never seen a wes anderson movie b4.the colors and stuff was all so beautifull,and the story,OMG it was crazy,makes me with I had an adopted sister so I could get it on with her.Goodfella's I had 3 gripes with it.1.they shot a guy who just did 6 years in the prison for them,2.they killed samuel l jackson3.I smoke too much weed to remember the other one.The music in good fellas is great.And wes anderson's choice of music was excelent too,I am sooooo stoked for Life Aquatic.

Sunday, September 26, 2004 "star wars episode I the phantom menace" Another "older" movie...Acting------terrible-------Plot-----forgetable-------Cinematics-----fake looking and not in that good way like sky captain.I love that Darth maul has 5 lines of dialouge in the whole god damn movie.Did you notice that the aliens working for the trade federation have a kind of chinese accent?I think george lucas has some fucking race issues...big time

"eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" I just watched this movie and all I can is whoa...It "reminded me of requiem for a dream",it also reminded me of "the shape of things".Its really fun to count the seconds between cuts cause you will almost never get past 8 seconds.Its like the god damn rodeo.Warning...it is a love story....but a different kind.

Cinematography: Nothing special... good framing and all that jazz, nothing orson wellish or anything... Direction: Nothing thats mindfuck amazing..... Acting: Woody Allen and Diane Keaton are great with eachother. Sight gags are well played in the woody allen style. Its hard to judge acting in comedies. Dialouge: Discussions about life and death and philosophy, very funny, way better than I heart hukabees IMHO. Funny stuff this movie Plot: Once again nothing mindfuck amazing... but fresh even for today.... In summation... This movie is hilarious, they just don't make comedies like they used too, no toilet humor or anything of the sort in this film. Simply a good movie. 4/5 stars....
